Children today don't just have to worry about being bullied at school, but online as well. Just one example of this is the infamous case of a Massachusetts woman who pretended to be a teenager and harassed a 15-year old girl on Facebook until she was driven to suicide.

Instead of waiting for the laws to catch up with online bullying, parents now have the option of new software tools to stop their kids from being bullied online. ZoneAlarm SocialGuard from Check Point Software is a new program that allows parents to monitor their children's Facebook activities to see if they're bullying, being bullied, friending strangers or engaging in potentially dangerous activities. The software does not allow parents to actually view the child's profile or what they're posting, but instead they get alerts of anything that the software considers to be suspicious.

A Queensland man was prosecuted last week, for selling, counterfeit Microsoft software, as revealed by software giant, Microsoft. The judge ruled that the man would have to pay the software giant, $90000 in damages, for selling the pirated Microsoft software. The accused, Howard Tsang, had been dealing in counterfeit Microsoft software on ebay, under 38 different assumed names.
More than 100 copies of counterfeit Microsoft software like Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Office 2010 were sold by him, under these assumed names, as informed by Microsoft attorney, Clayton Noble. Noble said that the man was placed on probation for a period of one year and that he would have to repay the earnings he made, from sale of the pirated Microsoft software. Ysang was also prohibited from any kind of sale or purchase of counterfeit Microsoft software. According to Microsoft this was a result of a joint effort, of the local law enforcement body and Microsoft, to stop such illegal sale.

Recently, the US government released an updated list of the 25 most dangerous system software errors along with proper guidelines for the programmers to locate such errors and avoid them. The updated list would help the system software developers who are constantly worried about how to safe guard their system software from those obnoxious hackers and recognize those common bugs and avoid them.
The system software has few loop holes which are aimed by the hackers to attack them, system software security breach by hackers have become common nowadays. Recently companies like Lockheed Martin and Sony Corp were the victims of such nuisance.
This had made the system software consumers to approach the system software developers for a standard security score to keep such bugs out of the way. The actual problem is that the same kinds of bugs are being used via different names which make it almost impossible to draw a proper security scoring system.
